Just saw this band the other night and they sound like an awesome mash-up of Dinosaur Jr. and Hum - two of my favorite band ever.
The jalop part? Their name is Volvo spelled backward, how neat is that?
Anyhow, check them out if you like Dino Jr, Hum, Pavement, MBV, Pixies, that sort of stuff:

those guys are from CT, and are awesome. Playing up in Portland in a few weeks. That whole album rocks. Another band from CT making a splash is The World is a Beautiful Place and I am No Longer Afraid to Die, from Willimantic. Check em out if you havent already

Yeah CT and Boston apparently. Just caught them at the new Met Cafe in Pawtucket, RI (which is AWESOME btw) opening for Pity Sex.
I will definitely check out those two bands, thanks!
